Parker, a triplet, was born prematurely at 22 weeks 6 days gestation. Tragically, one of Parker’s siblings passed away two hours after birth. At three weeks old, while Parker and his sister Peyton were in the NICU, Parker developed necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) and required emergency surgery.
Parker survived surgery but never fully recovered. Two weeks later, it was discovered that Parker had suffered a major brain injury, most likely due to the stress from surgery. Tragically, Parker passed away from complications of NEC at 55 days old, in his loving parents’ arms.
“Our family is grateful for the compassion and empathy we received from the doctors and nurses after losing two children in two months in the NICU.”
Stacey, Parker's mom
