We have had over 100 runners cross the 26.2-mile finish line for the NEC Society—and we’re just getting started! We’d love for YOU to sign up to join us in 2025.
Join the NEC Society’s Running Team at CIM 2025
The NEC Society is proudly a part of the California International Marathon (CIM) Charity Program.
The NEC Society had 26 runners cross the finish line at CIM in 2024 in honor of babies affected by NEC. Together, we raised over $20,000 to propel the NEC Society’s work.
We want YOU to be part of the movement in 2025. Join us in running 26.2 for a world without NEC.
How to join the NEC Society Team:
Below are the steps CIM has asked us to take with our charity runners. Please reach out to sarah@necsociety.org if you are interested in joining the NEC Society’s CIM Team.
- Step 1: Read through steps 1-8 below and agree to uphold your commitment to the NEC Society
- Step 2: Donate $250 to the NEC Society
- Step 3: Build your fundraising page (we’ll send instructions after you’ve made your $250 gift)
- Step 4: Email me your shirt size and agree to wear the NEC Society’s running jersey during CIM
- Step 5: Agree to meet up at the CIM expo on Saturday, Dec 6 @ 9am for a team photo
- Step 6: NEC Society provides access code for CIM Registration @ Blue Level
- Step 7: Runner registers for CIM and pays their CIM entry fee ($180)
- Step 8: Runner has until race day to raise or donate at least another $250 to the NEC Society
Once you have completed/agreed to steps 1 – 5, we will send you the CIM access code and registration link/instructions.
