Teaming up with UC Davis Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Davisite Jennifer Canvasser and her family invite the community for the first Yolo Run for a World Without NEC on Saturday, May 17, as it coincides with Necrotizing Enterocolitis Awareness Day.

With support from the Davis running community, including Change of Pace, Fleet Feet, and the Golden Valley Harriers, UC Davis is the presenting partner for this event, allowing it on campus, with the run going through the Arboretum.

A debilitating and deadly disease with limited options for prevention and treatment, Canvasser, the NEC Society’s founder and executive director, is grateful for the collaboration with the UCD NICU to organize a fun, family-friendly event that helps raise awareness and resources for babies in need.
