After Noah and Jennifer Canvasser tragically lost their son, Micah, to complications of necrotizing enterocolitis just before his first birthday, they felt compelled to help other families avoid the devastation of NEC. When Jennifer suggested launching a nonprofit dedicated to advancing NEC research, education, and advocacy, Noah was all in. Since the Canvasser family founded the NEC Society in 2014, Noah has worked tirelessly to support the organization’s vision of a world without NEC. From running marathons to planning community fundraising events to sharing his family’s story at the NEC Symposium, Noah is committed to honoring Micah by helping to propel the NEC Society’s work.
