Nicola is a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) practicing in urgent care and family medicine. She became involved with the NEC Society after losing her son Ronan to NEC in 2020. She is committed to honoring Ronan by helping the NEC Society prevent this devastating disease. Nicola completed her Doctorate of Medical Science at the University of Lynchburg and holds her Masters in PA Studies from University of the Pacific, where she now serves on faculty. She is excited to bring her clinical, academic, and personal background to the NEC Society to build a world without NEC.
