Leslie Napolitano lost her first grandchild, Micah Canvasser, to necrotizing enterocolitis. After her family’s tragic loss, Leslie committed herself to honoring her grandson by helping to share Micah’s light and magical smiles with the world. From illustrating Forever Our Little One to sharing the Tree of Courage to donating generously every month since 2014, Leslie continuously dedicates her time, talent, and funds to accelerate the NEC Society’s mission. Leslie is eager to help the NEC Society build a community of grandparents who, like her, are inspired to honor their grandbabies by working to ensure infants and families never experience the devastation of NEC.
