Ella is a senior Biological Sciences major with a minor in Science & Patient Advocacy at the University of Notre Dame, where she is involved in rare disease advocacy, a global health research initiative to improve maternal and infant health, and biological sciences research on the tumor microenvironment. Ella’s passion for rare disease advocacy was sparked by the diagnosis of a close family member, and she is passionate about maternal and infant health and rare disease research focused on the unique needs of women, especially during pregnancy. She is a recipient of the Schumacher Patient Advocacy Summer Immersion Grant through the University of Notre Dame.
