Research Interests

I am interested in the gut microbiome in NEC and how an altered microbiome may predispose to NEC. Recently our paper with 15 collaborators got accepted in the journal ‘Microbiome’. I think this is an important area of research that needs to be done and being a part of a research collaborative can enhance this area of research. Also interested in Lactoferrin and Probiotic supplementation to prevent NEC in preterm infants.

Current Projects

Microbiome patterns in NEC in preterm infants.
